Designed primarily to support surveillance, photo, and video applications, the QNAP TS-AI642-8G 6-Bay NAS Enclosure combines AI-powered applications and efficient hardware to accelerate image recognition. With six 3.5/2.5″ SATA III drive bays that can be configured for RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, or 50, this NAS also delivers the performance to backup and archive your data.
Integrate the TS-AI642 into your network using the one 2.5G Ethernet and dual 1G Ethernet ports. Dual HDMI ports are available, allowing you to connect 4K monitors directly to the NAS for viewing while using the two USB-A 2.0 ports for a keyboard and mouse. The two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports let you transfer up to 10 Gb/s with compatible expansions and storage devices. You can also add a separately purchased IR remote control. This NAS uses the QTS 5.1.0 operating system.
Computing Performance The equipped 64-bit ARM Cortex 8-core processor features a built-in 6 TOPS NPU (Neural network Processing Unit) that helps to boost the performance of face and object image recognition. Expandability Install a compatible expansions such as a network, SSD, and USB 3.2 Gen 2 cards into the available PCI 3.0 x2 slot. Professional Surveillance The QVR Elite app allows you to deploy up to 64 channels, and two are included for free. Hardware Transcoding ARM NEON technology helps to accelerate video processing for better media experiences. Fast File Transfers This NAS can achieve up to 294 MB/s read and 293 MB/s write speeds through the 2.5G Ethernet connection with five 1TB SSDs installed in RAID 5 mode.
